I fell in love when I saw this thing. This piece is both decorative and useful. Firstly, it’s the tangible representation of exactly what “Winederlusting” is and means to me. Every time I use this decanter I feel like I’m traveling the world. Always remember that whichever wine you’re drinking grew from roots elsewhere. This reminds me how much more I have to explore.
The Glove retails for around $50 and Amazon has a discount on it right now at this link. Note that this decanter works just as well as any standard decanter – but there are a couple things to keep in mind. It’s fairly delicate. The glass throughout is thin, so it always must be handled with care.
It also spins on its stand (the stand is also made of thin glass), which not only aids in the decantation process but makes this aeration unit that much cooler. Bring the world into your home.

This is hands down one of the best wine related items I’ve ever been gifted. It will remove the cork from any bottle in under 3 seconds. For any corked wine bottle, simply lift the handle of the “Rabbit” up, squeeze the vice around the neck of the bottle and push the handle-driven cork screw into the cork. Once all the way down, lift it up (but keep a firm grasp on the bottle). And voila – the cork is removed. Note that it will remain on the corkscrew until you reverse the handle again, just hold onto the cork this time.
I’ve had the Rabbit for over 7 years now, and it works just as well as it did when I first received it. This really is the gift that keeps on giving and eliminates the hassle of using a generic cork screw. It also comes with bottle stoppers, a foil cutter, drip-stop ring, a wax remover and with a conveniently sized storage case. (I’m able to keep the entire thing in a 4’’ high drawer). There’s a 10 year warranty on it as well.

This thing is just awesome. If you want to skip the decanting process, allow more air to reach the polyphenols and open up your vinho tinto prior to sippage, this thing does the trick. Just tilt your bottle, place the aerator into the bottle neck and pour over your favorite wine glass. Note that this sort of aeration is really only necessary for full-bodied red wines. Younger full-bodied and more acidic reds will respond best to this method, though some people will decant or aerate all of their red wines before drinking. The aerator itself is transparent and made of sturdy plastic. Comes apart for easy cleaning and should be hand washed.

A beautiful and practical wine gift, this Decanter is not only effective, it’s the perfect conversation piece. The extraordinarily wide surface area on the bottom of this decanter makes wine aeration quick, as well as look good. You can easily fit a full magnum of wine in the decanter, with room to spare. Separately, the basin itself is made of thick solid glass, as is the stem and base. The durability of this piece makes for easy washing and daily use. There’s also a spout to make pouring easier, and the thick stem allows for an easy grip even when it’s full to the brim. We currently have 4 of these in our house, and often gift them to friends and family members. It will last forever and is a great centerpiece in any room or display.

Good looking, crystal-hybrid wine glasses by Schott Zwiesel are durable and have the perfect bowl base to give any rich, full-bodied red wine varietal the room it needs to breathe to achieve optimal flavor. This is high-end stemware, produced with non-lead, titanium and zirconium oxide elements – these glasses will not only stand up to scratches and breaks, but are also 100% dishwasher safe. A real win if you’re like me and own way too many wine glasses that require hand washing. Order includes 6 glasses; for use with full bodied red wines; 27.9-ounce capacity; 9-1/2-inch tall, 3-3/4-inch wide. As long as you don’t cram these things into your dishwasher racks, you won’t need to buy new red wine glasses for a very long time.
Best varietals to enjoy with these wine glasses:
- Cabernet Sauvignon
- Petit Verdot

These are fast acting, effervescent tablets that dissolve quickly in water (or any other beverage with a citrus tilt since they’re lemon flavored). The effervescent (carbonated) quality allows for quick hydration delivery. Take these immediately upon waking up in the morning after a night of boozing. They contain caffeine (120 mg – equivalent to a cup of coffee) and aspirin (1000 mg), along with an alkaline agent (acid neutralizing) to calm your stomach. It’s recommend one dose is dissolved in a 16 ounce glass of water for best results.
