Best Christmas Wine Recommendations | Wines to Drink During the Holidays

The holiday season calls for wines that are in sync with the sights, sounds, scents, feelings and cuisine that are synonymous with Christmas. We’ve recommended wines for Christmas that too have the same aromas and flavors you can find in your favorite holiday candle, pine tree or ginger bread. The majority of these wines are dry, spanning in body from medium-minus to full.

At the same time, we’ve considered the common cuisine typically served at this time of year and various styles of red and white wine that make for great food pairings. As always, they can be found at most major grocery, liquor and wholesale stores.

We are particularly fond of many New World red wines (hence all of our California recommendations), as they tend to exhibit flavors and aromas ideal for pairing with the holiday season.
