With the the harvest season rapidly approaching in California, it’s only appropriate that harvest month for many happens to coincide with California’s Wine Month — September. Since California is a massive wine producing region and state, celebratory events throughout the area are difficult to keep track of. Luckily, we’re here to tell you what’s going on, when and where, so you can plan the ultimate complete wine experience throughout the month of September.

Currently, there are over 50 winery-related and immersion events that wine enthusiasts can partake in across the state. These include, but are not limited to, wine festivals, VIP tastings, exclusive and unique tours, wine making classes, dinners and more.

California Wine Month Event Guide in September 2016This is the 12th year in a row that California has celebrated their wine month. Wine tourists will have the ability to indulge in these events, which exist to celebrate the USA’s top wine-producing region.

Robert P. (Bobby) Koch, President and CEO of Wine Institute, notes that:

“The celebration recognizes the contributions of vintners and growers to our state economy, culture and lifestyle. With an economic contribution of $57.6 billion annually to the state economy and $114.1 billion annually to the U.S. economy, California wine is an important economic engine for our state and our nation.  Our scenic wine regions draw visitors worldwide to enjoy California’s great wine, cuisine and attractions.”
